What Matters Most – For me the word is Prosperity…

Allyssa Alhgren, age 26 in her April 6, 2019 article

https://alphanewsmn.com/thoughts-from-a-hipster-coffee-shop/ wrote “We live in the most privileged time in the most prosperous nation and we’ve become completely blind to it.” We have low unemployment if not the lowest in decades, more posted jobs openings than applicants, very low interest rates for first time homeowners to achieve the American dream. Entrepreneurs, small to mid size business owners are expanding their reach and dream, increasing top line revenue, adding additional employees and craving out a profit to pay salaries and rent for this expansion.

Look round new and old Austinites, cranes are everywhere, the crane should become the new Texas “official” bird. Restaurants, IT start-ups, new apartments on the 2nd & 3rd floors, retail on the 1st floor, yes more traffic and yes hundreds of new friends and family moving to Central Texas. Been in a H.E.B or Randall’s lately? How fortunate are we?

Alhgren went on to share “…The United States of America has lifted more people out of abject poverty, spread more freedom and democracy, and has created more innovation in technology and medicine than any other nation in human history.”

I’m in my 70’s and I love my country. My grandmother was born in Norway, my mother was born in Merced, California. We have so much to be thankful for. So when driving signal when turning left or right, open the restaurant door for families, elderly and those patrons behind you, and gift our homeless a dollar when you get a chance. Read or at least scan this millennials article, love your God and love your neighbor and at least for me when I do everything else in the middle takes care of itself.
